What you need to know before filling out the form
- Read information related to eligibility criteria online. Make your notes related to correspondence, email, and cell number for contact.
- Some fields are marked *, and they are necessary to be filled. Without it, the form will not be registered.

Candidates are required to fill:
- Online registration- create a new user profile. Ensure information matches the submitted documents.
- Filling out the form- verification comes via SMS, or email and you will create a password.
- Fees payment- is done via credit/debit card.
Filling personal information
- Enter your full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, and category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD).
- Provide your current address, including the street, city, state, and postal code. Enter your permanent address if it differs from your current address.
- Include the name, relationship, and contact number of a person who can be reached in case of an emergency.
- Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and a scanned copy of your signature. Ensure that these files meet the specified format and size requirements.
Academic qualifications
- Secondary (10th) and Higher Secondary (12th)
- Provide information about your undergraduate degree, including the name of the university, college name, degree type, specialisation, and year of passing.
- If you have completed or are pursuing a postgraduate or professional degree, enter the relevant details, including the name of the university, course name, and year of completion.
- Mention any professional certifications or qualifications you have obtained, such as CA, CS, ICWA.
Work experience
- Enter details about your professional experience, including the name of the company, your job title, nature of work, and duration of employment. Provide information about up to three previous employers.
- Calculate your total work experience in months, considering all full-time roles you have held. Internships and part-time roles do not count.
- Specify the industry and functional area you have worked in, such as IT, finance, marketing, or consulting.
Application review and submission
- Go through each section of the application form. Double-check your personal, academic, and work experience details for accuracy. Verify that your uploaded photograph and signature are clear and meet the specified requirements.
- Proceed to the payment section and pay the application fee. You can use credit/debit cards or net banking for the transaction. Keep a copy of the payment receipt for your records.
- Once the payment is successful, submit your application. You will receive a confirmation message and an email containing your application summary. Download and save a copy of this summary for future reference.
After submission
- Keep an eye on the official CAT website and your registered email for updates regarding your application status, admit card release, and important announcements.
- The admit card is released a few weeks before the exam date. Download it from the official website, and ensure all the details are correct. The admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam.
- Focus on CAT preparation. Whether you’re attending coaching classes or studying independently, follow a structured study plan. Utilise mock tests and previous year’s papers to practise.
- On the exam day, arrive at the test centre well in advance with your admit card and a valid photo ID. Follow the instructions provided by the invigilators.
