About IQAC:

ABBS is committed to quality assurance and improvement consistently in the years of its existence. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) spearheads the quality initiatives by setting benchmarks, measuring performance and taking corrective actions whenever necessary thereby internalizing quality issues and building quality culture according to the norms of National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC). IQAC aims at being instrumental in achieving quality in academic and administrative activities of the institution by channelizing resources and efforts towards promoting sustainable academic excellence.


Strategies of IQAC according to NAAC at ABBS

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks which is done with help of Management representatives, Department members, Principal and Director.
  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes which is done with help of Academicians and ABBS Research Centre
  • Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society which is done by the admission policy of the college.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning which is done through timely conduct of FDPs/ support for research activities/ Conferences and seminars.
  • The credibility of evaluation procedures which is done by an independent examination centre
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services which is done with the help of campus administrators/ counsellors and teachers
  • Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad. This is done by linkages with industries and the community service

Functions of IQAC according to NAAC at ABBS

  • Constantly developing and applying benchmarks/parameters of quality for various academic and administrative activities of the institution which is carried out be Strategic Planning and Departmental review meetings
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner centric environment conducive to quality education which is done by BOS meetings in all the departments, which is mainly to adopt the required knowledge for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes. A separate mechanism have been taken to collet feedback from all stakeholders on quality by IQAC and also the mail id has been created so that the stake holders mail their feedback.   • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters is undertaken by various Research workshops, Conference/ seminars , staff development programs.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes integrating departmental activities with Quality coordinators, conducting quality benchmarking workshops / seminars.
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement. This is done by special server where details of the activities are documented.
