Program Overview

In the last 15 years, the MBA department at ABBS has surpassed many milestones quicker than other renowned B schools, some of which took decades to achieve the same. This department is recognized by the AICTE, New Delhi, and has been accredited twice by the NBA and twice by the IACBE, USA. It stands as one of ABBS’s foundational elements, significantly contributing to the institution’s thrice-earned NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation and its status as an Autonomous Institution. The department has excelled in student placements and company incubation, with over 100 entrepreneurs emerging from its programs. These achievements stem from its unique educational approach, notably the 70:30 principle, emphasising experiential learning outside traditional classroom settings through activities like Book Reviews, Social Responsibility Projects, Toastmasters, TEDxABBS, Entrepreneurial Development Cell, Institution Innovation Council, Club activities, and ARMAGEDDON.

Since its establishment, each year has been marked with significant events. In 2021, it launched the MBA (Business Analytics) program, a pioneering initiative under Bangalore University. Currently, ABBS is the sole institution offering this innovative program. In 2022, the department was recognized as a Research Centre, offering a PhD in Management from Bangalore University. Despite these milestones, the department views its journey towards becoming one of the best B-schools in the country as ongoing, committed to a path of steady and successful excellence.
