Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts program, offered under Bangalore University Jnanabharthi Campus, spans three years (six semesters) and allows students to major in any three of the following disciplines: Psychology, Journalism, Tourism, Sociology, and Political Science.
Psychology: This field provides insight into the cognitive and personality traits that define human behaviour. The program aims to develop a holistic career in psychology, exploring both theoretical and practical aspects.
Journalism: Covering areas such as news media, press, radio, television, and multimedia, this major examines the interaction between journalism and psychology. Media increasingly seeks psychologists for insights into national events and social issues, while media portrayals influence human behaviour.
Political Science: This course offers comprehensive research on political institutions and processes, political theory, public administration, and international relations. It aims to mould students into ideal citizens, preparing them for administrative services and a competitive world.
Sociology: Students critically examine all levels of society and social orders, from small groups to complex institutions. The program prepares students for careers in social administration, law, business, government, and education, offering insights into human social interactions.
Eligibility:
Students with 45% aggregate marks, including languages, in P.U.C / 10 +2 / Pre University equivalent course are eligible.

- Industry-Student Interface: Students must complete internships in their respective domains during the semester break after the fifth-end semester examination.
- Activities on Capacity Development and Skill Enhancement: Including soft skills, language and communication skills, life skills (yoga, physical fitness, health, and hygiene).
